Zacky Farms is undergoing asset liquidation by way of three live and online auctions for its more than 200 units of farm and food processing equipment, fleet of vehicles and real estate.

Tiger Group of Los Angeles is currently taking bids on a live, online auction for more than 200 units of farm equipment.

According to a press release from Tiger Group, the sale will be in cooperation with Barliant Auctions. The announcement comes after Zacky Farms filed for bankruptcy last November.

The first round of equipment for sale on March 5 includes 200 units of rolling stock and farm equipment. Up for auction is the poultry processor’s more than 10 truck-tractors; Ford, Chevrolet and GMC pickups and vans; and more than 70 dry, refrigerated, poultry and utility trailers. Also up for bid is farm and factory support equipment, electric and liquid propane gas forklifts, pallet trucks and more.

Tiger and Barliant Auctions will follow the March 5 event with a two-day  auction starting March 12. Buyers can bid on Zacky Farms’ poultry processing operations including slaughter, whole bird packaging, boning and hot dog processing facilities, as well as some of its real estate. In advance of the event, Tiger is accepting offers for complete facilities and some of the manufacturing assets.

“Food processing, agricultural, transportation and other companies will find tremendous value in the wide range of specialized assets and rolling stock presented in these auctions,” said Wayne Hecht, Tiger Auction operations manager.

Operations up for bid will include a USDA turkey and chicken slaughter facility and whole bird packaging plant. Other major assets up for bid include a modern 100,000-square-foot hot dog processing plant with a host of specialized equipment for sale.

The two-day, March 12 poultry processing operations auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. at www.soldtiger.com. Previews of the assets — which are located in Fresno, Kerman and Stockton — can be arranged by Hecht at (617) 207-0165.
