The popular food delivery service Uber Eats has expanded with service locations across Central and Northern California – and Visalia is one of the cities on their list.

The expansion also includes Lodi, Yuba City, Redding, Eureka and Chico. This will mean access to dozens of local restaurants in these cities. The new partnerships are part of a broader national expansion that is aimed at serving more than 70 percent of the U.S. population by the end of 2018. Uber Eats has doubled the number of cities that it’s available in across the globe since the end of 2017.

Uber Eats launched in Fresno in May 2017.

“We’ve already seen that customers love using Uber Easts because it gives them access to the food they love quickly and conveniently,” said Kiran Vinta, head of launch and expansion for Uber Eats U.S. “By partnering with more restaurants in these cities, customers will have an easy and reliable way to get their favorite food – no matter what they’re doing or where they are.”

Many restaurants have indicated that partnering with Uber Eats has led to an uptick in revenue by giving them access to new customers and letting existing customers access them in a new way. As part of the launch, Uber Eats is also introducing a new self-sign-up tool so that restaurants can quickly sign-up and start doing deliveries on their own. There is a booking fee charged by the service based on a number of different factors.

Restaurants can sign up for the service at the Uber Eats website.
