Saint Agnes Medical Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The three-year designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence in all services including mammography, breast MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound.
Saint Agnes has been recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence since 2011. The accreditation is renewed every three years.
Saint Agnes Medical Center President and CEO Nancy Hollingsworth, said its an honor to receive the breast imaging excellence designation again.
“Breast care is an important part of women’s health and we’re delighted to continue in our tradition of providing these high quality, essential services,” Hollingsworth said in a statement.
About a dozen facilities in the Central Valley have such a designation.
