A well-known radio host in Fresno will be joining the lineup on FM 99.3.

Athena Matsikas Pavone, who became popular for her work in the late ‘90s on Star 101 (now known as Y101), is making her return as she comes out of retirement. Previously, she left the booth to take on being a full-time parent. However, according to a press release by One Putt Broadcasting in Fresno , she’s ready to come back to radio.

“Now that boy boys are out of the house during the day, Athena is beginning a new chapter in her life, returning to the airwaves as mid-day host,” the release said. “A time-period that fits perfectly in-between dropping the kids off and picking them up from school.”

“It’s not easy juggling all the demands, but it sure is fun and I really miss the interaction with listeners.”

Athena will be back on the air Sept. 9 at 10 a.m.
