A groundbreaking was held Thursday for Palm Lakes Business Park near Fresno-Yosemite International Airport.

At 63 acres, it will feature more than 1 million square feet of light industrial space and be home to about 1,000 workers, said Mayor Lee Brand.

The site is a former municipally owned golf course that ceased operating more than 10 years ago.

It is located on Dakota Avenue between Peach and Chestnut avenues. It is being marketed by Colliers International. It is being developed by T.N. Price & Associates of Camarillo, California.
