Fresno-based Security First Bank announced it has hired a new CEO to replace Robert E. Hemsath, who resigned his position to seek other opportunities.

The board of directors has appointed Steven C. Jones as CEO, president and CFO of the bank.

“The Board wants to thank Mr. Hemsath for his commitment to Security First Bank over the last eight years and wishes him success in his new opportunity,” said Everett Norcross, chairman of the board of Security First Bank. “Mr. Jones has been with the Bank since 2005 during its organization and oversaw the capitalization and opening of the bank in 2007. He has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since its inception and in 2014, was named President. The Board is thrilled that he has accepted this new role.”

Hemsath has taken a job as CEO of Mills County State Bank in Goldthwaite, Texas, according to a LinkedIn profile online.
