The Fresno Grizzlies announced a new promotion themed after the film “Coming to America” that will be accompanied by a new uniform and pop-up concessions on June 21.

In a press conference at the stadium Thursday, a representative from the fictional county of Zamunda—the country where Eddie Murphy’s character came from—was present to showcase the team uniforms.

On June 21, the Grizzlies will play as the Zamunda Lions and a McDowell’s restaurant will be on site featuring the “Big Mick,” a hamburger that is a favorite punchline in the film.

The promotion celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Eddie Murphy film, the tale of a prince from a fictional African nation who comes to America in search of love. Celebrating cinema has become an ongoing tradition for the Grizzlies, who in 2016 promoted the film “The Three Amigos” and In 2017 did the same for “Good Burger.”

“The Grizzlies pride ourselves not only on celebrating the local Central California culture, but also celebrating and paying tribute to American pop culture in general,” said Ray Ortiz, entertainment manager for the Fresno Grizzlies said. “The fan interaction we have here is big and if you’re not here at the stadium then you’re missing out on a lot of the great promos we’re doing here.”

Opening day will be April 10 against the Tacoma Rainiers.
