Ten-year lease agreements for two facilities in Clovis have been approved by Fresno County Board of Supervisors and will serve as the new home for the county Department of Social Services (DSS).

The 300,000-square foot campus complex is located at West Pontiac and Pelco Way and includes office and warehouse space. The DSS will also maintain two satellite service locations in east and west Fresno

“DSS currently delivers services out of 40 different locations throughout the Fresno metro area,” said Delfino Neira, director of the Department. “Due to the limitations of our current facilities, clients are often made to visit multiple locations to access the service they need.”

Neira added that the new facility will empower the DSS to help the community and those who rely on their services. The first 100 staff will begin their transfer next month and over the next two-and-a-half years, more than 2,100 will make the transition.
