The Board of Directors of The Foundation @ FCOE and Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Jim A. Yovino have announced the names of the 2017 honorees to be recognized at a gala event in September for their dedication to advancing education and helping students realize their academic potential.
School board member Delbert Cederquist has been announced as the winner for the “academics” category, ag education advocate Carol Chandler for agriculture, ballet instructor Yukari Thiesen for arts and former Fresno State softball coach Margie Wright for athletics.
“In addition to honoring these pillars in our community, the FCOE Honors Gala is an excellent way to support our country’s greatest asset—students,” said Michael Alexander, FCEOE Foundation board president.
