The Fresno Compact last week hosted its Business-Education Awards, honoring 10 local businesses that have invested time, talent and financial resources for students of Fresno County schools.
The following award winners were recognized at a March 6 luncheon at Tornino’s in Fresno:

Full Throttle Suspension, Inc.
In addition, Carole Goldsmith, Fresno City College president, received the Dr. Harold Haak Award for Educational Excellence for Building Business/Education Partnerships.
This is the 23rd year the Fresno Compact Business-Education Partnership has recognized the contribution of local businesses toward improving education in the Central Valley.
The Fresno Compact is a partnership of leaders from businesses, education, government and the community who support education, workforce development and economic growth in Fresno County. The work of the Fresno Compact is designed to support and recognize efforts to improve the educational experience for children from preschool through higher education, according to a news release.
