Clovis Veterans Memorial District & Applebee’s to Host Luau Fundraiser Benefitting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar^® is proud to announce a Luau Fundraiser on Friday, July 12 to support its ongoing fundraising efforts for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Tickets to the event are $35.00 and include a traditional Hawaiian Luau buffet and three drink tickets. Attendees can enjoy music, dancing and performances from hula dancers, as well as the option to participate in a silent auction and enter a raffle to win a variety of exciting prizes. 

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar^® restaurants nationwide have once again teamed up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to take a stand against childhood cancer with a month-long fundraising campaign. This year, participating Applebee’s restaurants aim to add to the $10 million they’ve raised since 2005 to continue funding cutting-edge medical research. Restaurants will raise money in a variety of ways including donating a portion of lemonade sales, selling paper lemons and hosting a series of fundraising events in their neighborhoods to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation put an end to childhood cancer. Apple American Group, the largest Applebee’s franchisee in the country, pledges to assist and support those institutions that enhance the quality of life in the communities it serves. Each restaurant stays engaged in its neighborhood through participation in community events, donations, sponsorships and fundraisers to help local organizations grow and flourish and takes care of their own team members through the Flynn Restaurant Group Family Fund.er 

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $150 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 800 pediatric cancer research projects nationally. In addition, ALSF provides support to families affected by childhood cancer through programs such as Travel For Care and SuperSibs.
