Fresno’s De Young Properties has been chosen for the second time to build a home for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” this time for the debut show’s reboot on HGTV.

Back in 2009, De Young Properties served as the builder the first time the show, then featured on ABC, was in Fresno County. They completed a challenge to build a house for Maryanne Riojas of Fresno in seven days.

“We are excited to join the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” team once again for this life-changing experience,” said Ryan DeYoung, president of De Young Properties. “There is a great deal of excitement for this project, as is a great need for volunteers. We are asking the community to join our effort and help a change a family’s life!”

The Extreme Makeover build will take place July 27 through Aug. 2. Candidates are currently being vetted for selection. There are currently several Central Valley families in consideration. The family will be revealed when Jesse Tyler Ferguson of “Modern Family,” the show’s new host, will knock on the door to start day for construction.
