The Build-A-Bear Workshop at Fresno’s Fashion Fair Mall will give away free teddy bears to the first 20 guests attending the store re-opening event on Tuesday.

In addition, the store will give away 24 additional bears to a local Boys & Girls Club.

The company, which allows people to stuff and accessorize their own teddy bears, is reopening with a new look — part of a rebranding campaign that started in 2015 — which includes an updated logo, store color palette and layout, along with a 7-foot-tall stuffed bear in the center.

“The crux of the refresh is to stay relevant with the moms who may have shopped at Build-A-Bear and now have children of their own,” said Beth Kerley, director of communications at Build-A-Bear.

To celebrate the remodel, the first guests when the store opens at 10 a.m. will receive and be able personalize their free “Lil’ Brownie” bears.
