Mortgage industry feels it could stifle lending
Local home brokers and mortgage lenders are weighing the benefits and impediments associated with the Homeowner’s Bill of Rights recently signed by Gov. Jerry Brown to keep more people in their homes.
Some see the bill as a lifesaver for the local real estate economy. Others see it as stifling with a potential to slow lending.
