Fresno home prices fall 3.72% in January PDF Print E-mail

HomesHome prices in the Fresno region fell 3.72% in January compared to the same month in 2009, according to a new market report by First American CoreLogic.

That figure is an improvement over the December 2009 year-over-year comparison, which saw home prices decline 8.84%.

Excluding distressed sales transactions, the year-over-year housing price index for Fresno fell nearly 2%, compared to a drop of 6.27% in December.

First American CoreLogic is projecting a 12-month forecast for Fresno home prices, including distressed sales, of 2.4%.

Nationally, home prices declined 0.7% in January.
