ARCHITECTURE

During the November meeting of the Taliesin Fellows, Fresno architect Arthur Dyson was elected president of organization. The Taliesin Fellows is a 501(c)(3) educational foundation of apprentices to Frank Lloyd Wright and alumni of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.


LEGAL

LaKishia White has been promoted to director of finance at Lozano Smith, a public agency law firm. She first joined the firm in 2014 as finance manager, and she continues to support the firm’s statewide growth with her financial forecasting and fiscal management expertise. White has a Bachelor of Science in business administration, accountancy from California State University, Fresno and received her Master of Business Administration from National University. White is a current member of the Association of Legal Administrators.

BANKING & FINANCE

Crystal Grieco has been promoted to vice president, branch manager for both the Central Valley Community Bank Herndon and Fowler office in Clovis and Foothill office in Prather. Grieco began her career with Central Valley Community Bank in 2003, and has been serving as the Branch Manager at the Foothill office since September 2015. In her role as Vice President, Branch Manager, she is responsible for the overall branch management of both offices, as well as the development of new personal and small business banking relationships. PHILANTHROPY

For the 10th consecutive year, Fresno 7-Eleven Franchisee Serge Haitayan will donate more than 800 coats to local students just in time for cooler weather to arrive. Since 2007, Haitayan has donated more than 5,250 coats to students and families of Clovis and Fresno Unified Schools. Specifically, the coats this year will be donated to students at Molly S. Bakman, Turner, Fancher Creek and Temperance Kutner elementary schools.

MEDIA

Jeanine Michelle Fiser of Hanford, a 2016 Fresno State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in media, communications and journalism, won The Newspaper Guild’s prestigious David S. Barr Award. The national honor, which will be presented to her Dec. 7 in Washington, D.C., is awarded to student journalists who focus on social justice issues. Fiser wrote a package of investigative articles for the Sanger Herald reporting the case of an unarmed ex-Marine who was gunned down by police officers.

MANUFACTURING

Pleasant Mattress, a Fresno-based mattress manufacturer, has promoted some new members to the management team. Michael Stype, who joined the company in 2011, is the new director of quality and compliance. In addition, Mingo Urrea  has been named manufacturing manager while Vue Yang was named trucking supervisor.
