The Madera Wine Trail’s annual “Meet the Winemaker” event will be held on Mother’s Day weekend, May 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The popular event allows wine lovers to sample their favorite wines or find a new favorite as well as talk to those responsible for making the wine, the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau said in a release.
“One of the great benefits of the Madera Wine Trail is the small nature of the wineries,” said Jerrod Lyman of the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau, in the release. “Guests can enjoy the wine in a more intimate setting and hear from the winemakers themselves about the processes and the passion that went into a particular wine.”
Many of the wineries will bring in chefs to showcase local cuisine along with local artists and musicians to add a festive atmosphere to the weekend.
Madera Wine Trail Passport Glasses are available for $35 from any participating winery both days of the event and will be your pass to wine tasting on the Trail both days.
Pre-sale tickets will be available for $25 at any participating winery or online at www.MaderaWineTrail.com.
