Selland, Save Mart Center among top venues

Fresno’s Selland Arena and Save Mart Center were both listed in Pollstar’s top 200 arenas venues worldwide for ticket sales for the first three quarters of 2012. The Save Mart Center ranked No. 87, with 93,179 tickets sold between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, and Selland Arena ranked No. 176, with 42,426 tickets sold.

“We take great pride in our ranking and it truly reflects the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at Selland Arena or any of our other venues,” said Bill Overfelt, general manager of the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center, in a release.

Fresno-based Pollstar is one of the touring industry’s top recognized trade publications.

The O2 in London sold the most tickets, at 803,223, and The Staples Center in Los Angeles sold the most in the U.S., at 444,548.
