Brown taps Porterville woman for lottery commission

Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed Connie Perez of Porterville to the California Lottery Commission.
Perez, 36, is a graduate of California State University, Bakersfield, and has more than 12 years of governmental and commercial auditing experience, Brown Armstrong Accountancy Corp. said in a release. Perez is the current treasurer of the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The Lottery Commission’s primary responsibility is to exercise its powers to oversee the lottery’s operations and fund distributions. Perez joins Gregory Ahern, Nathaniel Kirtman III, John Smolin and Phil Tagami as members of the commission.
