PG&E makes $25K grant to Fresno CDFI

The Fresno Community Development Financial Institution received a $25,000 grant from Pacific Gas and Electric Company as part of the utility provider’s Economic Vitality Grant Program.

Fresno CDFI is one of 10 companies to receive the $25,000 grant as part of the program.

“This Economic Vitality Grant from PG&E will be used to expand and increase outreach activities throughout the Central and San Joaquin Valley,” said Salam Nalia, Fresno CDFI CEO, in a release. “This is especially critical in the rural areas, where existing and aspiring entrepreneurs may lack access to the resources necessary to start, sustain and grow their operations.”

Raj Beasla, Central Valley Corporate Affairs Director for PG&E said the company looks forward to a successful partnership with Fresno CDFI.

“Fresno CDFI and PG&E share a commitment to local businesses, and this grant will help Fresno CDFI expand their successful efforts in the Fresno area,” Beasla said.
