The store, located at 1225 Herndon Avenue in the new Clovis Shopping Centre, will be the chain's 494th in the nation and the 22nd in California.

Following it's opening hours from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, the store will offer extended hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. both on Friday and Saturday beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. on Friday.

On that day, shoppers will receive a free Reebok T-shirt. Those visiting on Saturday will get a free Columbia T-Shirt while the first 100 shoppers on Sunday's opening at 9 a.m. will get a mystery gift card that could be worth up to $500.

In addition, customers on each day throughout the weekend may register for a chance to win an Epic A35 Treadmill valued at $1,699.

Former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dwight Clark will be talking to customers and signing autographs during a special appearance at the store from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday while Sunday's schedule will feature former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff.

There will also be opportunities for customers to meet with certified bike and lodge technicians and PGA/LPGA professionals as well as additional activities throughout the store.

Dick's Sporting Goods opened its Fresno store in June of last year while the retailer is expected to open its new Visalia location along Mooney Boulevard in October.
