Mathews Harley-Davidson unveils expansion

Downtown Fresno’s historic Mathews Harley-Davidson is hosting the grand opening to its new $2 million expansion on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The building, located near the intersection of Blackstone Avenue and Highway 180, will now have a 11,615-square foot showroom.

"Downtown Fresno has been our home since 1961 and we are pleased to announce the completion of our new showroom and museum which has put the dot on the map as a destination for both riders and enthusiasts," said Melissa Walters, owner of Mathews Harley-Davidson, in a release.

The bottom floor of the expansion is a retail store and is already open for business.

The top floor is a museum, which will be unveiled at the grand opening. The museum includes 15 motorcycles, some as old as a 1917 model.

The grand opening will also have food, entertainment and merchandise giveaways.
