The Limited to open in Fashion Fair Mall Sept. 28The Limited to open in Fashion Fair Mall Sept. 28National fashion retailer The Limited will open its only location between Santa Cruz and Los Angeles this fall when it unveils a new store in Fresno’s Fashion Fair Mall.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for the Ohio-based retailer, which markets itself as “the heritage brand for the modern, working woman.” It had a Fashion Fair Mall location that closed about seven years ago, said Kelly Tallant-Martin, Fashion Fair Mall marketing manager.

The Limited plans a grand opening weekend Sept. 28-30 when it replaces the former Brookstone space at the Outdoor Plaza, across from Sephora. The store will be part of a five-location California expansion that includes stores in Roseville, Santa Ana, San Diego and Westminster. The Fresno location will create about 20 jobs, according to a spokesperson for the retailer.

The Fresno store’s nearly 4,100 square feet will reflect a new brand image that includes lounge areas, expanded fitting rooms for one-on-one styling with customers and a new look including taupe walls, white shelving and red accents on the ceilings.

The Limited, owned by private investment firm Sun Capital Partners, Inc., operates more than 240 mall locations across the U.S.

Fashion Fair Mall currently has bout 9,000 square-feet under construction right now, Tallant said, with all of it set to open in the last half of the third quarter.

In addition to the Limited, women’s retailer ANGL is locating in a space across from the Apple store, while health, home and personal care product retailer eCosway will set up shop directly across from the food court.
