Gold-buying event raises $75K for Fresno Co. schools

A recent gold-buying event raised $75,655 for Fresno County schools.Fresno Coin Gallery's two week gold-buying event benefiting Fresno County schools has netted $75,655 toward educational programs.

During the event, which ran March 5-17, the Fresno Coin Gallery donated 10 percent of every gold transaction to The Foundation @ FCOE, which is the nonprofit foundation assisting Fresno County Office of Education efforts.

This was the third annual gold buying event hosted by the Fresno Coin Gallery. All three events combined have yielded more than $200,000 in donations. The Fresno Coin Gallery will be recognized during the Fresno City Council's regular meeting Thursday.
