New radio network to broadcast out of Clovis

AgNet West Radio Network will feature multiple weekday radio headlines focusing on specialty crops, livestock, dairy and others along with general agriculture news localized for the California and western region.

Affiliate stations and clearances are currently being arranged and programs are in production. Station lists and advertising rates will be announced soon.

The network's website at is already up and running with feature news, a weather page for visitors and daily program feeds for radio stations.

The network is the result of a partnership of AgNet West Media LLC headed up by long-time co-owner and editor of two California farm magazines Patrick Cavanaugh.

"It has long been a dream of mien to be part of a local farm radio to complement my other ag media interests and to better interact with audiences in California and the West," said Cavanaugh, in a press release. "The resources and people at Southeast AgNet allowed us to launch without delay."

Other partners include Laurie Greene of West Coast operations and Gary Cooper and Robin Loftin, owners and operators of Southeast AgNet Radio Network based in Ocala, Fla.

Cavanaugh, who co-owns Vegetables West and Pacific Nut Producer magazines, will give reports on the network from his Clovis office at 2191 Decatur Ave.
