Fresno EOC gets $1.5M for youth job training

The Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission's Local Conservation Corps has received a $1.5 million grant to provide job training for young adults returning from the juvenile justice system.

The Local Conservation Corps is one of 25 organizations in the nation, and the only one in the state, to win a grant from the Department of Labor.

The grant will benefit the Career Opportunities Reached through Participation in Service (CORPS) program to serve 94 young people ages 18-21 with job training, education and support services over a 30-month period.
