Larry Johanson gifts $100,000 to Fresno StateLarry Johanson gifts $100,000 to Fresno StateThe Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno was beefed up with a $100,000 gift from Larry Johanson, president of Fresno-based transportation broker Johanson Transportation Service.
Johanson, who graduated from Fresno State in 1975, made the gift along with wife Patti, made the gift to establish the Larry and Patti Johanson Fund at the Craig School of Business that will support the dean's discretionary fund.

Larry Johanson, who studied business administration at Fresno State, has supported the Craig School of of Business for some time. In 2008, he served as chair of the Business Associates board and currently serves on the school's Business Advisory Council.

Founded in 1971, Johanson Transportation Service is a third-generation family business that provides transportation for a variety of industries out of Fresno and six regional offices throughout the country.
Larry Johanson took over the business when his father retired in 1985.

The Johanson's gift supports the university's Campaign for Fresno State, an initiative that has raised more than $181 million so far for scholarships, faculty, programs and facilities

Last month, Fresno State alumnus Mark Shuster of the Shuster Financial Group of Pasadena also gave $100,000 to the Craig School of Business to support the school's internship program.
