Reedley weight loss program acquires new camp PDF Print E-mail

Wellspring Camps, a Reedley-based organization that runs weight loss programs for adolescents and young adults, expanded its services with a newly acquired summer camp in San Diego.

Camp La Jolla, located at the University of California, San Diego, will be one of 11 summer camps operated by Wellspring across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. when it starts up in May.

Founded 40 years, Camp La Jolla will continue to make use of its $35-million fitness complex while incorporating Wellspring's proven training regimen, low-fat diets and behavioral motivators.

Since starting up in 2004, Wellspring has catered to thousands of individuals who have been shown to lose an average of 4 pounds per week. Seventy percent continue to lose weight at home after they complete the program.
